This space is dedicated to history researchers of medieval Spain.
We strive to provide exhaustive index of material culture depicted in Alfonso X. manuscripts of

These manuscripts contain more than 3000 illuminations. Not all illuminations are available on the internet and when they are, they are frequently very low quality. We currently use 1806 illuminations. The site is still work in progress but you can already use full text search on top right to search through illumination contents.
In addition to manuscripts, we started extending the coverage of 13th century material culture index with Aragonese desk paintings.
